AMB (RTD) DATO’ Salehuddin Bin Abdullah

AMB (RTD) DATO’ Salehuddin Bin Abdullah aged 63, is the Chairman of DMIA Group. He was appointed to the Board in 2002.

Dato’ Salehuddin Abdullah graduated as BA (HONS), Adelaide, Economic History and Economics, and MA, Boston on Political Economy. Dato’ Salehuddin Abdullah began his career in 1968 with the Malaysian Industrial Development Board as an Economist. He joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic service in April 1970 as an Assistant Secretary (Tax), Ministry of Finance. In year 1973 he served as Principal Assistant Secretary (Economics). In 1978 he moved to Programme Coordinator in the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).

From 1978 to 1979, he served with MAMPU as a principal assistant in the Prime Minister’s Department. Then, from late 1979 to 1980, he was attached to the Ministry of Trade & Industry as principal Assistant Secretary, (Administration). Later from 1980 to 1982, he moved on to Malaysian Trade Commissioner to Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta. In 1983 he was principal Assistant Secretary (ASEAN), Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1983 to 1986 he served as a deputy Director General (ASEAN) and 1986 to 1988 he moved as Malaysia’s Consul-General in New York. Then in 1988 to 1991 he was posted as Malaysian Ambassador to Myanmar. In 1992 to 1994 he was appointed Director Of training in the Institute of Diplomacy And Foreign Relations (IDFR). Subsequently appointed as Malaysian Ambassador to The Hague, Netherlands in June 1994 to 1996 he then moved to High Commissioner of Malaysia in Pakistan from 1996 to 2000.

Nazreen binti Ahmad

Nazreen binti Ahmad was appointed to the Board of DMIA on 2007 as a Director. Subsequently she was in charge for Human Resource.

She graduated as Bachelor of Business Administration from ITM, Shah Alam. She served in various positions in the private company. In 1991 to 1999 she work in Southern Bank Berhad. In 2000 she joined in DMIA and has been playing an active role in setting up the Human Resource Department.

Today she has contributed on setting up the company’s payroll system and formulating new policies in line with the industry.

Subramaniam. S Pillai

Subramaniam. S Pillai was appointed to the Board of DMIA in May 1996 as a Director of Projects and subsequently, as an Executive Director in January 2001.

Subramaniam. S Pillai holds a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering and Masters In Business Administration (MBA) in Euro- Asia from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and University Aix-Marseille, France. He attended the Asean Advance Senior Management Development Program of Harvard Business School. He previously served various positions in Private Limited companies. In 2003 he was the committee chairman for implementing and securing the ISO certification from Lloyds.

Prior to that he was Project Manager for various projects in the North- South Central Link (ELITE Expressway) supervising the sub contractors in implementation.

He organized the setting up of the Operations for DMIA subsidiary in Bangalore, India DMIA’s first overseas project, part of the Golden Quadrilateral Western transport Corridor National Highway 4 from Sira to Chitraduga Package 2 Karnataka. He subsequently secured a BOT project in Madhya Pradesh and moved to Chennai Tamil Nadu to execute most prestigous project of the Tamil Nadu Government called “Six-laning with an additional of 2 Lane service road for the IT Corridor Chennai” (now know as Rajiv Gandhi Salai). This was a model road for India. In 2006 under his leadership DMIA secured another Road contract in Rajasthan, India.

In 2008 he set up the real estate Development for DMIA Land (India) Private Limited, currently working on 1800 units of medium low and high end residential and retail development, targeted for launch in the 3rd quarter of 2009.

 

Management

Harith Rathi Bin Badaruddin

Harith Rathi Bin Badaruddin, joined DMIA as CEO on Jan 2007. He oversees business targets, operations, management and development on local Projects.

He secured a Diploma in Business studies from the University Technology MARA (UITM ) in June, 1985. He was with the Malaysian Mining Corporation Bhd ( MMC ) from 1990 to 1999, as a Commercial and Contracts Manager, observing business development and project management, before joining Laser Profile Sdn Bhd as Managing Director in Nov 1999.

He was the Chief Executive Officer ( Dec 2002- 2007) of Advanced Health Care Information Systems Sdn Bhd before assuming his present position with the DMIA Group.

Debojit Chowdhury

Debojit Chowdhury , COO – joined DMIA in Jan 2008. He graduated with a B. Eng (Civil) degree from the University of Singapore in 1981. He is responsible for business development, resource management and preparation of Detailed Project Proposals for various BOT jobs under Property Development and Infrastructure Investment.

He started his career in 1981 with Mudajaya Construction Sdn Bhd (later merged with others to form IJM Corp Bhd) as a Project Engineer for oil and gas projects in Terengganu.

He subsequently worked in IJM in various positions, first as Construction Manager and finally as Project Ditector, before he joined the DMIA group in Jan 2008.

During his 26-year tenure with IJM, he was involved in numerous infrastructure projects including the North-South expressway, Port Klang Power station and the KL Monorail as well as property development projects including the Weld tower and the renowned PJ8. He was also assigned for various highways projects in Bangladesh and India including the Chennai by-pass, Mumbai-Pune Expressway and a CIDB-initiated BOT project in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Anwar Zamsani Bin Mohd Zahid

Anwar Zamsani Bin Mohd Zahid, was born in April 1968, newly appointed as Project Director with DMIA in 2008.

He graduated with Bachelor of Sciences (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from Columbia University, New York in 1991. He begin his career as Project Manager with Arup Jururunding Sdn Bhd ( 1992-1995), followed by Zainuddin Parsons Brinckerhoff (M) Sdn Bhd (1995-1997) and Perunding Padureka Sdn Bhd (1997-1998). He subsequently worked with Serata Horizon Sdn Bhd till Jan 1998, joining Ahli Bina Pamongsari Sdn Bhd in 2005 and He-Con Sdn Bhd in Sept 2006.

His job functions include internal road systems, road level and alignments as well as CAD drawings for various housing development projects. He also has expertise in town planning especially in main road alignments, structural design for housing and design method.
