CHAIRMAN MESSAGE

YBhg. General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi Bin Mohamed (Rtd.)
” The construction industry has long cemented its position as one of Malaysia’s key economic drivers. Besides providing the infrastructure and facilities necessary for the nation to move forward, it is also a key contributor to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). The sector registered a favorable growth of 9.9% in the second quarter of 2013.
As Malaysia takes steady stride forward to becoming a developed nation, the importance of the construction industry to the growth across the broad spectrum of economic activities is not to be underestimated. The Ministry of Finance, Malaysia, expects continued strong performance in the construction sector, according to its Economic Report 2013/2014. The momentum will come from continued implementation of projects under the 10th Malaysian Plan (10th MP) and the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), among others.
Dhaya Maju Infrastructure (Asia) Sdn Berhad is in a firm position to ride on this positive outlook. We project further positive development in our portfolio, underpinned by the encouraging construction drive in the country and ongoing construction projects under our fold. We are embarking on Klang Valley Double Track (“KVDT”) project since Railway Infrastructures will be key growth in upcoming years.
Meanwhile, the successful venturing into property development has brought in new opportunities, which in turn broadens our business horizon. On the back of our well- received maiden project at Property Development at Setapak Jaya, Kuala Lumpur and are planning another mix and residential development at Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.
As we continue to build our track record with high-impact local undertakings, we are actively capturing opportunities abroad. Our robust performance is augmented by key overseas projects. We have established a strong footing, for example, in the construction scene of India, undertaking major infrastructural developments in the private and public sectors of the country.
In tandem with the country’s and the company’s growth, Dhaya Maju will continue to capitalize on this expansion momentum. We foresee bigger and more sophisticated projects coming our way. As the construction process becomes more complicated and demanding, we will continue to invest in our capabilities to fulfill our commitment to high quality, timely delivery and superb project management.”
